My favorite windows software

Firefox - web browser with big plugin library (good web development plugins)

Pidgin - chat client with support for many protocols. It also supports other platforms (Linux)

Skype - internet phone. Simple and user friendly VoIP solution. Only drawback is that it is closed.

Putty - SSH and telnet client

Media Jukebox 12 - player

MakeLogic Tail - good windows version of tail program

PDT - eclipse based PHP IDE

QT - cross platform C++ application framework

PostgreSQL DB - great DB (from version 7.x.x it is available on windows)

MySQL Workbench - next-generation visual database design application
